Incredible human powers! – What??
Does it really work?
This question, in all of its forms, is one the most commonly asked questions about MUSCLESPEED™ and supplements in general. “Will I able to leap 100ft in the air? Achieve 100M sprint in sub 10s? Punch faster than the ‘iceman’ Lydell? Pack another inch on my guns, by next week? The answer I’m about to give you is surely going to piss-off many industry insiders… And here it is: “NO WAY”. If this were true, grandma would pop a few pills and win Olympic gold in cycling!
What’s realistic?
Ok, here are some scenarios of what’s realistic:
Positive case scenarios:
- You’ve been training for some time and you’ve hit a wall, progress has been stalled for some time and you need to break-out of the rut. Bam! You take some MUSCLESPEED™.
- For some reason, you just don’t have ‘it’ in you to train today and need a kick in the pants. MUSCLESPEED™ will kick you hard.
- You expect to see small, incremental, progress through hard work and supplementation. I say “You’re pretty realistic and on the right track”.
- You’re looking to get that competitive ‘edge’ in your performance: Rock on!
- You’re looking to break a personal record, or be at your all time best. MUSCLESPEED™ can help you do that.
- You want to increase your ‘time to exhaustion’. Absolutely, and most definitely!!
- Recruit as many fast muscle fibres for explosive speed and power. YES, but you also have to pay your dues by training hard.
What we don’t want to see:
- You look to MUSCLESPEED™ as a ‘crutch’, or as something to gain performance with no effort. MUSCLESPEED™ will help you perform but that’s not what we recommend; you need to bust your ass a little… Or a lot!
- You’re a sensation seeker and like the way MUSCLESPEED™ makes you feel because of its strong Nootropic components. I say, “Go smoke something instead”.
Just remember this:
It’s about the hard work, dedication, persistence, AND effective supplementation for the fastest results possible. While marketing supplements, we usually don’t speak of the first three very often because they’ve become so trite that people do not listen anymore. Trite IS true!! Don’t neglect these. Let’s put things in perspective: The first three will give you at least 80% of your results, supplements will help you get the other 20% that is often so hard get after you have progressed in your sport for a while.
Why the hype?
Marketing plays an important part in helping companies live another day. So much money is invested to bring to market a supplement, and unless revenues come in, companies are forced to close their doors. Not good for anyone – Not even the consumer.
I dare go out on a limb and say that the supplements of today are many times better then what we ingested just ten short years ago. One of the beautiful aspects of competition is that it forces manufacturers to lower prices (and negotiate lower costs for themselves), improve product quality, and offer better service in order to be competitive and survive in the market place. This is very good for the consumer.
Now back to the marketing… One of the things that marketing does is to get your attention and sell you something. Of course promises without results cause high product refunds and/or no repeat sales. This can bankrupt a company very fast because not only does the company refund the sale, it also creates a lot of administrative overhead which results in time, resources, and money wasted.
Unfortunately, unless the industry as collective tones things downs a little, marketing hype will remain high. The reason for this is that every company either wants to pretend that their product is better than the competition, or really believes that it is and wants’ everyone to REALLY know about it.
I’m not going to B.S. you and tell you that we’re not using ‘hype’ in our marketing. We do to a certain extent, and there is a fundamental reason for this, and it’s called: “Demographics”. You do not communicate to 16, 20, 30 year olds all in the same way. Different age groups call for a different ‘voice’.
There another reason for hype, and the case is best illustrated with what beer companies are doing... Let's take two beer brands that taste, hummm pretty much the same, and run a T.V commercial with each one of them. In the first commercial you put some corporate stiff in a tie explaining the merits, blah, blah, of the beer, and in the second you get [your favorite hottie here] in a two piece string bikini drinking her beer in a manner that would impress Sigmund Freud, and all the while she’s lap dancing for some cool dude in a weird shirt. Which of the two brands do you think will sell the most?
Ok, so you’re probably really bored by now. - Fine.
I wish you great success in your endeavor, my friend.
PS: Don’t forget to give us your feedback. We’d like to know what YOU think about all this.
